A Note from Our District Administrator
Three Lakes School District is fortunate to have highly qualified teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning. Each day, their commitment and dedication to our students is present and observed in their instructional delivery. However, sometimes specific events require our staff to be out of the classroom.
I would like to personally extend an invitation to those of you who may have entertained the idea of substitute teaching. We need you and value your talents. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience among you, and our district community is part of our educational family. My vision is to develop a larger group of substitute teachers. These “guest” teachers would become part of the educational team in our district. Professional development, staff in-service and connecting with a preferred grade level or content area is encouraged.
The state of Wisconsin requires that substitute teachers be trained before working with students. CESA 9 in Tomahawk provides two-day training sessions. Upon completion of the program, a certificate is awarded. If an interested applicant commits to joining our Three Lakes School District team, the cost for the training will be paid by the district. If you are thinking about an adventure, please seriously consider this request. Our teachers would appreciate your support and our kids would love to know you!
