English/Drama Coach Email Phone: 715-546-3321 About Me After graduating from Three Lakes High School in 1995, I had my first child, Brandon. I relocated to Milwaukee and enrolled in a technical school to pursue a degree in radiography. Aside from working in the medical field for several years, I was employed in the insurance industry and ran an in-home daycare. After my second son, Wesley, was born, I went back to school at Alverno College to obtain my bachelor’s degree. I worked for a semester in Milwaukee, where I completed my student teaching before moving to Beloit, Wis., for the next six years. After my oldest son graduated, a position opened at Three Lakes. I believe I was meant to teach, and I cannot think of a district that I would rather work in. My Teaching Philosophy I love teaching English and coaching drama students. I feel my classroom is both educational and a place to develop social awareness. Together, we work not only to expand our knowledge, but to develop an understanding of ourselves to become better than we were yesterday. A student needs to feel that what is being taught has purpose and that they have something to contribute to the learning process. In my classroom, mistakes might happen, but they result in growth. I believe in creating an atmosphere of trust and respect for students to learn and mature. "A day without laughter is a day wasted." – Charlie Chaplin.
