About Me
Hello! My name is Jessica Noe, and I am the third-grade teacher here at Three Lakes. I graduated from the UW-Milwaukee with a bachelor's in early childhood education. I loved my time in the big city and the marvel of any kind of food I wanted delivered!
I am from Elk Mound, which is a small town between Eau Claire and Menomonie. I’m sure you’ve passed right by it on your way to Minnesota. I spent my early years actually living not too far from Three Lakes. I lived in Conover for my early elementary years, and those are still some of my fondest memories. For that reason, when I saw the job posting for Three Lakes, I jumped at the chance to be back in the Northwoods again.
I am very close to my family. My mom is a teacher’s aide in my home district, and my dad is a surgical nurse as well as a soldier. I have one brother, who does fundraising for a special needs camp in the southern part of the state, and he lives in Dubuque with his soon-to-be wife, who is a mechanical engineer.
I enjoy being part of this community and coming to as many town events as I can. Fourth of July and Pumpkin Fest are two of my favorites. I also love being outside, going for walks, crafting, and I LOVE to read.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is a simple one: Developing independent learners and critical thinkers while having as much fun as we can.
One thing I always try to remember while I am teaching is the teachers I had as a student. There are those teachers that stick out ... the ones who left an impression. For me, I don’t remember the tests or the lessons; I remember the fun we had while learning. I remember the teaches who helped me enjoy learning even when it was difficult and encouraged me to be better. It is my goal to be that type of teacher for my students while they are in my class and as they move through school.
Being a teacher doesn’t stop when the students are no longer in my room. I try to support them always!
