Elementary Art Teacher Email Phone: 715-546-3323 About Me Many people have a job and pursue their hobbies or passions after their work day. I am fortunate enough to have a passion for my job, and I enjoy each and every single work day. I love what I do, where I teach and who I teach, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I grew up in Brookfield, Wis., and moved to Three Lakes in 2003. When I drove up here for my interview, I instantly fell in love with the small town atmosphere and the beautiful school facilities, especially the art room. When I received the position for elementary art teacher, I moved up here without a second thought. I knew no one, but somehow I knew it would all work out. Shortly thereafter, I met my husband, and four years later we were married. We now have three beautiful and amazing boys: Tommy, Sean and Dylan. Needless to say, we are VERY busy, but also feel very blessed. Besides spending time with my family, I love photography, gardening, boating, fishing, and butterflies. My Philosophy - I believe every child has an inner artist.
- I believe art is all around us.
- I believe art enhances a child's learning.
- I believe my art students should be introduced to as many art materials, techniques, concepts and artists that I can fit into a 45-minute period, once a week, for a school year.
- I believe art should be fun and build a child's confidence.
- I believe a child's effort and his or her process is more important than the final product.
