Three Lakes Elementary IMC Email About Me I am the Three Lakes Elementary library paraprofessional with instructional support (Jill of all Trades). I grew up in the Three Lakes School District, where I attended Sugar Camp Elementary and graduated from Three Lakes High in 2012. I am very proud to have grown up in this area and district and beyond excited to be back home! I earned my bachelor of science in health promotion and wellness from UW-Stevens Point in 2016, did an internship at Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Wellness, did two Americorps terms — one in Wautoma in community health and one as a farm-to-school educator in daycare through 7th grade. In my farm-to-school educator role, I taught kids about my passion of where our food comes from, what it looks and tastes like and how to grow their own food! I have subbed and taught in the Coulee Christian School District, Onalaska, La Crosse, and West Salem school districts prior to moving back home. I am currently finishing a master’s in education with a graduate certificate in family and consumer science from UW-Stevens Point, which will give me flexibility to become a teacher, administrator or other educator role. I currently live with friends, and my cat Phoebe, and hope to buy a house in the area soon. Teaching Philosophy I strive to educate students with the highest quality best-practices, teach kids to love reading and think critically and creatively, and show them how to be model citizens who love their community. I want my students to be fully and confidently able to “adult” when they finish high school, with soft skills, a mental health toolkit under their belts, and passion for life and helping others!
