HS Business Education/Marketing Teacher Email
About Me
I am from Kimberly, Wis., and I attended Kimberly High School. While there, I played football, basketball, and track and field. After high school, I attended UW-Oshkosh and majored in business administration with a focus on economics. After graduating from UW-Oshkosh, I worked for Student Success Agency, an education technology and mentoring company, as a student mentor and an account manager for schools. I spent four years traveling and working with students from across the United States. I knew I always wanted to be in the classroom full-time as a teacher, so I enrolled in UW-Stout's Marketing and Business Education program and completed my teaching licensure in business education and marketing education.
Before becoming a Bluejay, I worked at Wilmot Union High School and Lakeland Union High School. When I'm not working with students, you can find me in the woods, running, biking, swimming, hiking, ice fishing or camping. My wife and I love the four seasons and everything the Northwoods has to offer!
Teaching Philosophy
I believe that building positive relationships with students is the key to unlocking their potential. Through business, personal finance and marketing courses, I hope to spark students' interest in different industries in the wide world of business. My goal as a teacher is to help students show continual progress, not perfection, and to give students many opportunities to demonstrate their learning. I strive to celebrate students' growth and progress each and every day and to give students the autonomy to drive their knowledge and to take ownership of their learning. My goal is to make class engaging, relevant, fun, challenging and thought-provoking. It's a great day to be a Bluejay!
