High School SPED/Cross Categorical Teacher Email About Me
I am excited to join the Three Lakes BlueJay community as the high school cross-catergorical teacher!
I am originally from Waukesha, Wis. My dad was a teacher, so from a young age I was fortunate to spend summers and many weekends at our cozy cottage on Laurel Lake enjoying all that the area has to offer. After graduating from Waukesha West High School, I attended UW-Eau Claire where I earned a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders and master’s degree in early childhood special education. I spent my first year teaching in an early childhood program in the Flambeau School District. Then, I met my husband, Rick, who brought me back to the area.
For the past 20 years, I have supported and taught students of all ages with varying abilities at the School District of Crandon. I believe in the importance of empowering students to believe in themselves, because when they do, anything is possible.
Besides teaching, my favorite activity is spending time with my family. I have two sons, Blayze and Noah, and a daughter, Grace. We love outdoor activities for all seasons including biking, hiking, fishing, skiing and snowmobiling.
