My name is Jody Kalata, and before coming to Three Lakes, I taught in Wabeno, Wis., as a fourth grade teacher and in Crandon, Wis., as a middle school English teacher and interventionist. I also owned and operated a state-licensed child care for 12 years while my own children were young. I attended UW-Oshkosh to become an elementary teacher, and I later continued my education there for licensure as a reading teacher and specialist.

I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors with my family. My husband, Bill, and I have two daughters. Our oldest, Brooke, is new to the world of education as a high school science teacher and our youngest, Jordan, is following her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner by attending the UW-Green Bay. I am excited to be at Three Lakes, and I look forward to sharing my passion of reading and inspiring lifelong learning.
