Sugar Camp Principal/6th Grade Teacher/MS Golf Email
About Me
I grew up Brillion, Wis., and graduated high school in 2005. From there, I attended UW-Platteville and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in early adolescence education. I started my teaching career in Phelps, where I taught and coached for seven years. I received my master’s degree in educational leadership from Viterbo University.
I will be starting my eigth year as a teacher and first year as a principal. In the past, I taught middle school science, STEM, algebra and geography. I also coached high school basketball, middle school football in Three Lakes, and golf this past year in Three Lakes. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hunting and playing golf.
My Philosophy
My philosophy of education is to develop mature, productive young adults who are ready to pursue their dreams. Secondly, I want to provide students with the necessary tools to succeed in society, and finally, I want to create a love for learning that will stay with my students in whatever path they decide to take.
I also believe in project-based learning. In this type of education, students develop the skills to problem solving real-world issues, which helps them develop the necessary skills to become successful students. I believe the Three Lakes School District is a leader in this philosophy through the Three Lakes Fab Lab and Kids Labs. I look forward to developing more skills and tools for our students to learn.
