Three Lakes Special Education Director, Kari Volk
Ms. Kari Volk lives in Three Lakes with her husband, Charlie, and their three daughters. She received her undergraduate and master’s degrees in speech pathology from UW-Stevens Point. From there, she spent two years in the Oconto Falls School District working as a speech/language pathologist. Volk then accepted a position at the Rhinelander School District, where she worked for 19 years as a speech and language pathologist and the past two years as a school psychologist. While at Rhinelander, Volk served students in elementary, middle school and high school, and also worked as the interim principal at Crescent Elementary for part of the 2016 school year.
Volk received her educational leadership degree from Marian University and her educational specialist degree from Alverno College. She has also served on the Three Lakes Board of Education and is actively involved in the school and the Three Lakes community.
“I am ecstatic to be part of the district that has provided a multitude of opportunities for my daughters, and I see this position as a way for me to create opportunities for others,” Volk said.
